Go Back Using VSquare Cloud Storage

VSquare Cloud Storage is a high performance secure cloud storage that can keep all of your backup safe and ready for a restore. While a Cloud Site storage requires multiple VSquare licenses and need a local storage for consolidation, Cloud Storage backup can be executed by streaming directly to cloud and thus, without using any local disk space.
Also, as Cloud Storage backup execution is parallelized from standard, local storage backup, you can schedule backupsets that can backup to your local and cloud storage in single job.

Cloud storage cost is not included in any subscription plan and will be paid monthly, based on your actual storage usage.

Creating a Cloud Storage Backup
Creating a Cloud Storage Backup is done in the same way you would create a local storage backup. The only difference here is that you skip the local storage selection and switch to the Cloud Storage tab, where you can select one of the available Storage Providers. The number of available providers may vary depending on your license level or deployement personalizations.

Please note that, while you can select different backup modes, all Cloud Storage backups are full in their final form. Cloud Storage Backup supports only VMware and Hyper-V virtual machines. Files & Folder backup or physical disk image backup is not currently supported.

Restoring a Cloud Storage Backup
As for backup, also restoring follows the standard VSquare process: either double click on the Restore Point entry or click on the restore icon on the right of each line. The usual VSquare restore wizard will guide you trough the restore process. Note that, altrough single files and folders restore is not supported, no local storage is required for this operations: the virtual machine data is streamed live from the Cloud Storage back to the selected host.

Removing a Backup
Just like any other VSquare backup, you can delete a cloud restore point anytime you want. To do so, select the cloud backup you wish to restore and click on "Delete Restore Point". The restore point will trigger a VSquare task that will delete the selected restore point from the Cloud Storage.
