VSquare Desktop Agent Service

The VSquare Desktop Agent Service manages the target machine communication with VSquare. This service makes full disk image and single file level backup possible.

You can install VSquare Desktop Agent Service on the target machine if:

• The machine is physical and you want to use VSquare to create full disk images of any available partition;


• The machine is physical or virtual and you want to backup only specific files instead of creating a complete disk image or retrieving the full virtual disks;

If you have any of the above requirements and you have at least one active Enterprise license, you can proceed to download, install and use the VSquare Desktop Agent Service on any machine.

If you do not have any of theese requirements, you can backup any VMware of Hyper-V virtual machine without installing any kind of agent on the target system.
