Go Back VSquare Backup Patch Notes 2.7

This document contains all of the updates and fixes that are contained in VSquare Backup version 2.7. Please read each note carefully as some updates and changes may impact your current setup and backup configuration.

Patch Notes -- Version 2.7.0.7
Backup
- You can now choose if you want VSquare to keep your current snapshots tree or clear it and consolidate before starting a backup.
- SSH connection and commands failures with free ESXi host will now display the correct error instead of simply 'Failed'.

Server
- Added a default proxy connection flag on the very first server configuration step
- Fixed an HTML reporting formatting error on the standard Backupset report

Client
- Fixed a issue with Cloud Site registration that could prevent a new cloud site from being added to a client VSquare site.

Client
- Host selection should now correctly reflect host name when configuring Host to Host Disaster Recovery

Patch Notes -- Version 2.7.0.0
Disaster Recovery
- Disaster Recovery jobs have been upgraded with support to Host to Host backup. This new feature is available starting from Enterprise plans.

Backup
- Fixed a publishing issue that could cause rolling publishing to not delete old published folders and keeping an unlimited history
- Fixed an issue causing running backups to lock library usage for other VSquare tasks

Inventory
- Offline hosts are now correctly detected and indexed.

Indexing
- Fixed an indexing issue that may happen when accessing reverse incremental backups

Restore
- Fixed an issue that may cause a numbered VMDK to appear as missing on a Free VMWare host
