Disk [disk] of machine [machine] has no unique id. Autonumbering. (VSQ-000006)
Symptoms
During a VMware Datacenter inventory scan, VSquare may display the following message:
Cause
This warning is generated by the inventory scan function whenever a disk is found that has no UUID specified.
Resolution
VSquare will automatically create an internal automatic number for the disk in order to recognize it later and treats this issue as a basic warning. If you want to fix the message at VMware level, please follow this VMware KB Article on how to set an UUID for a virtual disk.
