VMware Backup: Machine is turned off. Backup of [machine] automatically switched to full mode (VSQ-000007)
Symptoms
In a VMware virtual machine backup, the following warning may be displayed in e-mail or pdf report:
Cause
This warning is generated by the backup function as it detect that the source virtual machine is turned off. When the machine is off, no disk change query can be done and VSquare proceeds to backup using a full clone mode.
Resolution
To stop this warning turn on the source virtual machine before the next backup executes.
