Installing VSquare Deduplicated Storage Virtual Driver

The installation of the deduplicated driver is done automatically by the VSquare installation wizard. If you already had VSquare Backup installed and you just automatically upgraded to version 1.2, all you need to is execute again the VSquare Backup Configuration Wizard application being sure to follow the steps below:

Stop VSquare Backup Service

Start the VSquare Configuration Wizard application

Go trough the Expert mode setup (all the data is already filled for you)

Accept the request for installation of the signed device driver

Start again VSquare Backup Service

Once the base virtual device driver is installed, you will be ready to start using VSquare Backup Deduplicated Storage. Please note that deduplicated storage is currently supported only on 64-bit operating systems and can be used only by Enterprise and Corporate users.
